Shortly afterwards, a team of four skilled individuals led by Xiang (Donnie Yen) infiltrate a highly guarded CIA office in New York City and steal Pandora's Box, a device that can control satellites to crash into specific locations. CIA Agent Jane Marke (Toni Collette) tracks down former Triple-X operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel), who faked his death and has been living in self-imposed exile in the Dominican Republic, and convinces him to return to active service to recover the device.
Xander Cage assembles his own team of extreme athletes, consisting of sharpshooter Adele Wolff (Ruby Rose), DJ Nicks (Kris Wu), stunt driver Tennyson Torch (Rory McCann), and hacker Becky Clearidge (Nina Dobrev). They travel to the Philippines, where Xiang and his associates Serena Unger (Deepika Padukone), Talon (Tony Jaa), and Hawk (Michael Bisping) are hiding with Pandora's Box. Xander Cage and Xiang fight for the device, but they are interrupted by a group of mercenaries led by Marke, who reveals that she is the real mastermind behind the satellite attack that killed Gibbons. She plans to use Pandora's Box to start a war between Russia and the United States.
Xander Cage and Xiang team up to stop Marke and her men, with the help of Darius Stone (Ice Cube), who reveals that he survived the events of the second film and has been working with Gibbons, who is also alive. They manage to destroy Pandora's Box and prevent Marke from launching another satellite strike. Xander Cage decides to remain in the Triple-X program, while Xiang and his team join him as new recruits. Gibbons welcomes them and introduces them to their next mission.
